It doesn’t seem like it at first, but sin effects and afflicts the
soul in a very harsh way.
Like any type of erosion, it happens gradually, almost
unnoticeable at first because the damage is taking place on
the inside, at the core of one’s soul. In time, sooner or later,
the damages are apparent to oneself and to others. Glue and
tape can’t mend it; textiles and paint no longer cover or
conceal it. Healing from The Potter is the only solution.
No one is beyond repair, however, it can only be done by
getting back on the wheel and letting The Potter work to
restore. Working from the inside out, He’s the only one that
can reshape, remove and smooth out the rough spots in the
vessels of clay.
Scripture References:
I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul;
for I have sinned against thee.
Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he
will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
