Refuge in Times of Trouble - uplifting short inspirational message

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,

a refuge

in times of trouble.

-- Psalms 9 verse 9

Just as a place of refuge is to provide safety and rest from
something unpleasant, so does the Lord. Not only a refuge for
those treated harshly by others; He is also a refuge for all who
seek for Him in times of trouble.

In times of distress and difficulty, He is a refuge.

In times when what we use to carry almost effortlessly is
now outweighing our own abilities with much grief and
sorrow, He is a refuge.

In times like today, when things continue to worsen
across all sectors of our economy and the losses not
only cause a deficit or forfeiture, but also remove with

it future hopes and dreams, leaving only sadness and

emptiness in its place. He is a refuge for it all, and more.

His refuge is just one of the many blessings He provides for
knowing, seeking and trusting Him. It is a place in Him like no
other place on earth. It is the only place not effected by the
issues of the world. His refuge provides the rest, stability,
strength and all the spiritual necessities for making a safe
transition though life’s adjustments and contractions. At all
times, His refuge is the best place to be.

And they that know thy name will put their trust

in thee:

for thou, Lord,

hast not forsaken them

that seek thee.
