Influenced by the forces of gravity, this hair-raising, fast-paced
roller coaster ride with all its extreme ups and downs and on-
the-edge turns is either experienced as being exhilarating or
nerve-racking. It all depends on the perception of the
individual rider. Some immediately race back in line again for
another rush of adrenalin, while others go for the exit looking
only for a place to recover.
There are moments too when the natural course of life can
also resemble that of a roller coaster experience, but without
the amusement of it. The extreme ups and downs from the
reality of living in today’s uncertain world can be so
overwhelming to the heart and spirit. However, with some it’s
just another day at the park and on they go, but for others,
such experiences tend to be the vehicle that jolts things back
into proper focus, motivating change within by the grace given
of God to realize the greater value in that which is most
important in life.
Life has its Moments
by Sharon Johnson | 07-05-09
Though life will always have its moments, the Spirit of the Lord
leaves nothing to chance. At high points and lows, at every
twist and turn, Christ remains in full control, having all power
over the forces that try to otherwise influence its course. Best
of all, for those looking to recover, Jesus is also yet there to
provide the lasting peace and healing needed to comfort the
heart and restore the spirit.
