What can you reach for …
… that is real and unmovable? What can you strive for long-
term with assurance? Is it strong enough to lift and sustain
you?
Falling hurts and lies are disruptive. It can throw everything
out of balance, absorbing time, energy and opportunities like a
sponge. Suddenly, confidence becomes an issue, goals need
rethinking and hard questions need real answers. Yet,
somehow, in the midst of confusion, deep within your spirit you
know by faith, God is at work on your behalf and the progress
that is gnawing at your spirit is a good thing, though it gives
you no rest. You just know, you are emerging from this
experience greater than before, because that is what a work of
God in progress is supposed to do.
However, great results do not just happen. Even for an
original, much consideration of cause and effect is needful to
overcome the adversity. Healing of hurts and learning from
disruptions are all in order. Weak points must be addressed
and strengthened along with the priorities and pillars of your
life inspected and reinforced, if necessary. Overall, your hope
and dreams must be renewed and set before you with solid
truth, to replace that which was unsustainable.
Achieving that delicate balance is an ongoing process that you
will have to reach for by faith. Therefore, with all that you have
in you: reach forth for wholeness, reach forth for actual
sustained growth, reach forth for progress. The reward is
worth it.
Key Point
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one
thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and
reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press
toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in
Christ Jesus. -- Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)

Growing and developing in the Lord is a life-long process of
learning and achieving as you go. Therefore, it is so important
not to let your past victories or defeats become a cloud that
overshadows your future or a hindrance that prevents you
from reaching forth to the hope set before you.
God has put the goal ahead and above, not to discourage
you, but to give you the confidence through His Word, to reach
and obtain it.
