Examine the truth …
… not the illusion. Inspect the structure, not the facade.
Taking your time to evaluate your situation under the
magnifying glass of absolute truth is of immense value to you.
It gives you a true measurable standard to strive for, to reach
for, and to pull up on.
Courageously survey the details; tally your contribution to the
equation, then balance the scale with fairness and impartiality.
Even if you did things the right way; that is, you worked, saved,
educated yourself, invested responsibly, and still came up
short. What does that say about our culture, our society and
the time we live in?
Truth is all that will stand the test of time. Redeem it, build on
it and stand with it. It is like that glow that rises across the
eastern horizon; barely noticeable at first and then you see it,
God’s glorious rays of sunlight, dismissing the darkness as the
Sun rises for a bright new day. Look for it in the people,
places and things that are a true source of help to you. Even
if all that appears is just a glimmer of light, with just enough
hope for one small step at a time … let it shine. Let it shine
through the darkness of uncertainty and disappointment. Let
the light of truth pave the way for progress. Let it strengthen
you inwardly. Let it rebuild the pillars of life that will be there in
support of you.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine
own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he
shall direct thy paths. -- Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
Note
The notion of a complete and total reliance on the Lord is in
contest with the intellect of the human mind. Still, there is no
greater source that can carry the weight of the world without
being overcome by it.
With all your heart, know, the Lord cares for you and your
soul. His direction is always with that in mind and follows His
Light.
