Listen to words of faith, hope and encouragement for everyday living.

Sow for spring …
… sow for winter … sow continually.
Change is constant, more of a standard pattern than an
inconvenience or obstacle. Plan for it. Sow for it in advance.
Just as you know seasons naturally change throughout the
year, do you fear it or prepare for it? Life is no different.
People change, neighborhoods change, markets change and
times change. How you choose to respond in an ever-
changing global environment, where things are subject to
change and without notice, will make you either richer or
poorer, better or bitter. So why settle for the lesser?
Be proactive, sow seeds of mercy. Yes, that is right, mercy;
acts of compassion, kindness, grace and forgiveness, to keep
the soil of your garden enriched with joy and fullness of life.
Next to mercy, truth grows quite well. Sow good wholesome
words beneficial to the well-being of others. For instance,
have you ever said to anyone something like “thanks for
saying that ... that was just what I needed to hear” then you
know how empowering words of encouragement are to those
who need it. A simple endeavor that does not cost much
except perhaps a little time, mercy and truth, and is a real joy
to receive when you need it too. Indeed, a principal that rivals
the naysayer’s, yet true.
In between mercy and truth, deeply root the innermost
qualities that make you an original, the goodness of your
heart. It is that which makes for strength and determination to
keep you reaching for all things good and right. It is that
internal source of encouragement to inspire you to keep
looking up, knowing that though clouds are overhead, so too
are the moon, the stars and the sun.
Key Point
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the
earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early
and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the
coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
-- James 5:7-8 (KJV)
Note
The Lord is the perfect example for waiting patiently in
anticipation of receiving all that His Word has sown. No matter
how things look on the earth, Jesus never gives up looking to
receive what He planted. Nevertheless, at the appointed time,
He does receive it. Take His example to set your heart by; He
has proven it faithful for every aspect of life, including His
return.
Sow a new garden rich in joy and bursting with life.
