Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
-- Matthew 5 verse 7 (Kings James Bible)
Putting an end to something unpleasant or distressing
by showing a merciful spirit instead of by vengeful
means, is not a sign of weakness but rather a sign of
being a blessed person. To have a heart moved by
compassion for a peaceful resolution of a matter is
exactly what the Spirit of the Lord advocates. Praise
God for having such a heart that flows with life and
blessings.
Showing mercy when it is in our power to do otherwise,
is to look beyond today considering tomorrow is another
day. For God is an excellent record keeper, and it’s just
a matter of time when we too come short and end up on
the opposite side, undeserving and in need of mercy
and grace from Him.
May His Word illuminate your way today.
Word of the Day ... Merciful

sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute
you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my
sake.
12. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in
heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before
you.
