These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that
they received the word with all readiness of mind, and
searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
-- Acts 17 verse 11   (Kings James Bible)

Paul’s style of teaching always centered on scriptures
to explain the gospel and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In this instance, Paul was speaking to a very
distinguished group of people with in-depth knowledge
of scripture.  They listened and absorbed his teaching
of Jesus Christ with an open and willing mind to learn.
However, instead of fighting and debating with him over
things that they were not sure of, or needed more
clarification on, they researched the scriptures daily to
confirm for themselves the accuracy of what they had
heard.  They affirmed the teachings of Paul as
documented in the history of truth.  Those that
embraced it, believed and followed completely.

Daily search the scriptures to reinforce your confidence,
faith and trust in the things of Jesus Christ.  He will
    always confirm His Word.

May the Word of God strengthen your spirit today.

    1.  Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and
Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue
    of the Jews:
    2.  And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three
sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
    3.  Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered,
and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I
    preach unto you, is Christ.
    4.  And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and
Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief
    women not a few.

    11.  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that
they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched
the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
    12.  Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable
women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
