- Jesus references two types of trees each producing its
own kind of fruit. Though the appearance of those
trees may look similar, the fruits of its life are not. This
is what Jesus is stressing we consider as the basis of
determining which is which. He uses the same
procedure for distinguishing wolves. Though wrapped
in the finest wool, its behavioral traits are still in tact.
- By His Spirit, Jesus sends us out with assignments as
sheep in the midst of wolves. Completely aware of the
environment we‘re in, He teaches us to be informed but
not to fear, to trust His Word and follow it, and to keep
walking nevertheless in the Spirit of the Lord.
Remember, Christ went before us and knows the way;
all we have to do is follow Him step by step, word by
word, straight to the finish line … home.
