I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have
set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore
choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
    -- Deuteronomy 30 verse 19
Rather than to make their decision for them, God gave His
    people two options.

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou
hast given me; for they are thine.  -- John 17 verse 9
Prayer is vital part of a believer’s life.  As Jesus
demonstrates in His prayer, it has the power to change
and influence outcomes that would ordinarily be
    disastrous.

Let brotherly love continue.  -- Hebrews 13 verse 1
Allowing and keeping the spirit of brotherly love and
kindness flowing without interruption, especially to those
who have not been so brotherly, must be with permission,
    yours.

Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave
commandment to depart unto the other side.
    -- Matthew 8 verse 18
It is very interesting to note that Jesus saw the great
number of people drawn to His ministry.  What is even
more interesting is that He knew everyone round about
Him was not necessarily following for His righteousness.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness
of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
    -- Ephesians 6 verse 12
The origin of the problem is beyond our natural eyes,
rooted in a realm of darkness.  -- Inspired reading link.

Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil.  -- Ephesians 6 verse 11
Just like the necessity of wearing a coat in winter, there
are essential elements of the Spirit that are necessary to
protect the blessings of God given by the Holy Spirit.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his
    might. -- Ephesians 6 verse 10
Building a strong relationship with the Lord is the key to
    everything.

When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were
possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word,
and healed all that were sick:  That it might be fulfilled which was
spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our
    infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
    -- Matthew 8 verses 16 & 17
With His Word, Jesus ejected weaknesses in spirit and
body, as well as in the character of those that had
suffered by opposing influences beyond their control.

And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's
mother laid, and sick of a fever.  And he touched her hand, and
the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
    -- Matthew 8 verses 14 & 15
Jesus saw a person hindered from being all they
    could be.

Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of
your joy: for by faith ye stand.  -- 2 Corinthians 1 verse 24
The writers of each book of the bible are our helpers,
providing us with valuable information on spiritual and
practical matters to help us stand by our faith.

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou
shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my
servant shall be healed.  --  Matthew 8 verse 8
We grow from faith to faith.  To get to this point, the
centurion had already seen and heard of the power in
    Jesus’ spoken word.

And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man
full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought
him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
    -- Luke 5 verse 12
Seeing is believing, when you see Jesus.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to
you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
    -- Matthew 7 verse 12
In a very short amount of time, Christ would teach a way of
    living that challenged human reasoning.

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth
unto life, and few there be that find it. -- Matthew 7 verse 14
A life of spiritual discipline will always seem more difficult
from a natural perception because our human nature will
never be able to grasp it.  -- Inspired reading link.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
    -- Matthew 7 verse 20
Jesus references two types of trees each producing its
own kind of fruit.   -- Inspired reading links.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which
is in heaven.   Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out
devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
    -- Matthew 7 verses 21 & 22
Standing close enough to have a conversation with Jesus
on why He is denying them entry, and they chose to use
up valuable time highlighting their deeds done in His
    name, but not their charity.

And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth
them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his
house upon the sand:  And the rain descended, and the floods
came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell:
and great was the fall of it.  -- Matthew 7 verses 26 & 27
Anyone can make a mistake.  -- Inspired reading and
    audio links.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth
them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house
upon a rock:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and
the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it
    was founded upon a rock.  -- Matthew 7 verses 24 & 25
As a house built in many phases over time, we too must
somehow prepare for the many phases of life that
inevitably take place between points A and Z.

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the
people were astonished at his doctrine:  For he taught them as
one having authority, and not as the scribes.
    -- Matthew 7 verses 28 & 29
His sayings moved people at the core of their spirit, often
leaving them feeling surprised, overwhelmed, shocked
    and even speechless.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I
should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I
might receive my sight.  --  Mark 10 verse 51
As often as Bartimaeus sat by the wayside begging in
darkness, he knew that Jesus passing by was a rare
opportunity.  Continuation with Inspired reading links.

And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he
cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on
    me.  -- Mark 10 verse  48
Sometimes because of need and urgency, extra effort
must be put forth to override the lack of concern from
    others.

But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go
to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou
    shalt speak.  --  Jeremiah 1 verse 7
Jeremiah clearly heard the Word of the Lord, but
responded according to the obstacles that were before
    his eyes.

Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight
against them that fight against me.  --  Psalms 35 verse 1
David learned from an unlikely source, that to preserve his
destiny, some matters were better off in the hand of the
    Lord.

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
    --Psalms 34 verse 13
What we say is so important that it affects other people in
a either positive or negative way.  -- Inspired reading link.

For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God
endure grief, suffering wrongfully.  --  1 Peter 2 verse 19
Valuing God’s presence more highly than the adversity
for doing right.  -- Inspired reading link.

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered
for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
    -- 1 Peter 2 verse 21
Christ is the model to copy.  --  Inspired reading link.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they
received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the
scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
    --  Acts 17 verse 11
They researched the scriptures daily to confirm for
themselves the accuracy of what they had heard.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we
did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
    -- Isaiah 53 verse 4
The Lord understands the sorrows of life. --  Inspired
    reading link.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be
acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
    -- Psalms 19 verse 14
Intentionally taking time out to meditate on the Lord helps
develop a stronger relationship with Him and enables
more positive thoughts and choice of words.

And it shall turn to you for a testimony.  -- Luke 21 verse 13
Whatever it is that you encounter for the cause and
devotion to Christ has a powerful testimony attached to
    the end of it.

Then they that feared the Lord
spake often one to another:
and the Lord hearkened, and heard it,
and a book of remembrance was written before him
for them that feared the Lord,
and that thought upon his name.
-- Malachi 3 verse 16
